My team and I have huge experience in supervising projects from one room to entire houses.

Recent work includes a 6 bedroom family home in Middlesex. The clients were working abroad for two years while we embarked on a two storey extension on both sides of the house, together with a total refurbishment of the existing house, to include specialist lighting, programming and installing a sound system throughout the house, plus total refurbishment to each room. The clients moved the goal posts after they had been away for eight months, when they announced they would be away for one year instead of two. We worked incredibly hard to get the project finished, but it happened. When they arrived home the candles were burning, the pool was filled and the flowers were out.

What do we do when we project manage ?

Prepare electrical and furniture layout drawings. It is important to know that every switch, every light and every socket is in precisely the correct position for each piece of furniture
Prepare colour schemes, to include fabrics, wallpapers, carpets, trimmings, bathroom fittings, lighting, furniture etc
Call in the different tradesmen required for the project
Take time out with you to choose lamps, rugs, cushions, throws and all other important finishing touches
Have site meetings with each tradesman and advise them of precisely the work that is required
Obtain estimates from each of them and supply written estimates to the client
Agree schedule of payments for each tradesman
Schedule the timings when tradesmen are coming into the property and how long they will be there, so the project can be completed in a timely manner
Continually liaise with the tradesmen to advise and remind them when they are required on site
Supply the client and the tradesmen with a schedule of deliveries
Ensure that all goods are delivered for the appropriate tradesmen at the correct time
Ensure that all tradesmen are scheduled in the correct order for the project . i.e. electrics and building work are carried out first
Visit the project regularly to check that each tradesman is doing the work that has has been agreed and to discuss and resolve any problems
Snag the property at the end. checking all workmen to make sure the property is perfect

With good planning the stress can be avoided.
